    Hello friends

I want every ortho guy here knows to light me a bit to this...............

What are the available softwares in the market in order for someone with an open STL scanner by scanning ortho models to create ortho aligners..........except 3SHAPE that I know (and I hate them) what other solutions are available in the market for this purpose?

To actually move teeth in stages? Like Invisalign?

    Or, just to hold position?

I have a customer in South Africa that asks me about this non-stop.

    Terry, this is good stuff?

Can move teeth? Works with 3d-printer and vacuum form, or other technique?

    CNC mill the device?

Can people buy the CAD only and use another scanner if they already own One?

    Thanks,
    Scotty

Yeah guys I just sent email to Terry and got an answer from him.

He told me that Maestro Ortho Studio is the best in the market for this task......

I asked some questions to AGE Solutions regarding their ORTHO STUDIO.....

    Soon we will have answers.............

Well Scotty I believe from my experience its better to use 3D Printing for clear aligners.............more productive than milling (comparing production speeds of course) ........

I just received answers from AGE SOLUTIONS

Yes the Ortho Studio can work separately with other scanner that produce open STL file

In order to use it with files from others

Of course the software doesnt have any licence fees.........you pay it once and you're done

Yes I plan to buy it. I want to make clear aligner like Invisalign, I've done some research but didn't see many user experience about it. Do you think it's worth to invest? Thanks!

Yes indeed . The best way to test is to contact the company and ask them if they have a demo version to test it. Otherwise ask them to give you contact details of some of their customers and send them 1-2 cases.

I think this is the most safe and best way

Of course don't forget to ask them if their software has annual fees like 3SHAPE

    Hello,
I am also interesting in printing clear aligner with some software.
I have 3D printer from formlabs and successfully print implant 3D guides. I scan my models with 3D scanner.

I think using some software for moving virtually teeth I will be able to print the model and then using vaccupress device to do aligners.

    What do you think?
